Dr. Gabrielle Gagnon is in her sixth year as school district superintendent.  She is the mother of four wonderful children.  As a recent graduate of a School for Advanced Leadership program and attendee of a global service learning trip, she began recently telling her personal story about of how those opportunities impacted her survival after the global pandemic experiences she faced nearly killed her.  She shares how she personally transformed and healed the trauma of a once very broken soul into the worthy, strong woman leader she was destined to be and shares how you can, too!  She is a part of a Transformational Leadership Consortium and has served in educational leadership for over twenty years as a consultant, mentor, coach, elementary teacher, director, central office administrator, and superintendent.  She currently holds her Superintendent, General Adminstrative, and Highly Qualified Elementary Teaching licenses with designations as a principal and teacher evaluator.  She successfully directed the work of seven School Improvement grants for a statewide association, transforming the lowest performing schools.  She is the coauthor of "Leadership Implications for Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning Programs to Close the Achievement Gap" and "Developing Early Warning Tracking Dashboards."   Dr. Gagnon received the Racial Harmony Phenomenal Woman of the Metropolitan St. Louis Award, along with Citizen of the Year 2012 and Who's Who Among Educators in 2009.  These awards recognize women making a difference in communities, organizations, and in the lives of children.  She served as an eight-year Master School Board Member in the capacity of many chaired positions and committees and a nationally certified Ruby Payne "Understanding Poverty" trainer.  She is the current owner of Becoming Me Enterprises, LLC.
